Learn how to breathe again

Do you have troubles taking a full gasp of air ? It just feels like your lungs are not working properly and filling up to full capacity. Your be relieved to read that your lungs are fine, don't panic !

As stated in the understanding your anxiety section, your muscles go through spasm/cramps tightening and loosing the lungs rapidly. In the deeper part of your lungs which branch out, they are all expanding with the spasms which increase oxygen capacity which makes you feel that you have not got enough oxygen in your lungs even when you take a full breath.

Your breathing needs retraining and I have a breathing exercise which will help you relax and retrain your lungs in good time. Try to do this exercise 2-3 times a day for 5 minutes a time until your breathing retains itself.

Lay flat on your back on a comfortable surface like your bed.
Have both feet apart from each other shoulder width.
Place your hands on your tummy on top of the belly button.
Close your eyes (Implement this part when you understand the exercise fully)
Breathe in evenly for 5 seconds through your nose feeling your tummy push out.
Breathe out evenly for 5 seconds through your mouth feeling your tummy fall inwards.

*Make sure there is no pause in-between breathing in and out, it must be fluent.
