Understanding your Anxiety

So first things first, your mind is trying to figure out why your body is doing what its doing, but you reminding yourself that these activities in your body are happening is causing it to happen even more.

I will explain that section even more in depth in a second but I have a little self test for you to do, I want you to read this page through and give it the most concentration you can, read it as if this is the cure, focus any part of your mind you can focus onto reading this page and I will explain why at the end. Make sure your in the most comfortable relaxed position you can be to read this in.

So what causes anxiety to happen in the first place ? There can be many factors, the most common can be your body going through a chemical change over, this chemical change over happens every 2-7 years and its most common within teenagers developing into adults around the age of 17-21. There is nothing you can do to stop the chemical change over, its just a shock to your body, but there is a way to reverse your anxious feelings.

Other reasons which could cause anxiety:

* Taking illegal substances (Cannabis, cocaine, speed, LSD, MDMA)
* Giving up or starting smoking
* Being within a smoke filled room
* Traumatic memories or experiences
* High stress levels caused by day to day life (money worries for example)
* Diet change
* Exercise change
* Depression

If you take a look at all these aspects, you can really see that each individual one can have its own role in a lifestyle change, the way you live, think and act , Some mentally and some physically  and yes they seem to connect into one another.

So what does this mean ?

You have triggered off stress and worry levels in your mind to then trigger off (Anxiety symptoms) what I would class as muscle spasms to various parts of your body. When you feel tingling in your hands and feet, or feel your throat clogging up or your lungs not working to full capacity its the muscles contracting and expanding, look at it as mild cramp to parts of your body.

So why does this keep happening?

The first time you triggered off anxiety, your brains anxiety levels got stuck and told your body that this reaction of anxiety is the normal reaction to fear, nervousness or any negative emotions it reacts to. Every time you think about having a panic attack, the thought of the fear of having another attack will send you off into having another attack. Its a vicious circle and a very self caused problem which can be cured.

The things is, your first panic attack most likely happened for the first time when you was alone and over thinking along with your lifestyle at the time which triggered it off, and your body was just going through a kind of adrenaline rush but the cause of it was what you was over thinking so your mind was then focused onto what is happening in your body.

But say you was walking down the road and you saw a lion and you had adrenaline rush and ran away as fast as you could, your mind instantly is fully focused on running away from the lion and not what reaction your body is going through.

Its the same reaction in theory, but the thought of having the panic attack is the trigger of anxiety just like the lion, but if your running away from a lion that is your focus, when having a panic attack your focusing on the reaction of your body due to nothing fearful being around you.

Make sure you read through 'So why does this keep happening?' section until you fully understand what is being said, its very important to understand this part.

So how is this curable?

Its just a matter of changing your lifestyle and the way you think to make the anxiety reaction in your mind a thing of the past. Make it so everyday your mind and life is occupied to its full capacity so you are to busy focusing on life to be focusing on anxiety. And if you do this enough it will slowly reset itself understanding that low anxiety levels are correct anxiety levels. Where your anxiety is jammed and stuck at the moment, your old life with no stuck anxiety levels will be the new level of life.

The test

Now I want you to remember what I said earlier about putting all your focus into this page and reading it. Just from concentrating fully on this page was there any moments where you forgot about your anxiety and was breathing normally with no anxiety sensations. Really try to think because it may be difficult to recall but this is an example of occupying your mind to not think about anxiety. The more you do this, the more regular normality body functions will take place until this over balances anxiety.

So what next?

There is a lot to do but read through my weekly pages on what life style changes need to take place. Tackle it as weekly challenge pushing yourself to the limit to achieve what is needed.

I hope your Anxiety can be cured soon !
